World Record at Hollywood Park...

Scottsabluff, a 7-1 shot making his first start on turf, set a world record for 5.5 furlongs in winning the $70,800 Bullet on Monday at Hollywood park. Victor Espinoza rode.

Trained by Jeff Mullis for owner D.E. Weir the 4- year old Siberian Summer gelding ran the distance in 1:00.26, beating the favored Talkun and four others by half a length. The final time bettered the record of 1:00.46 set by Pembroke on July 15, 1995.
